Russian farmers started planting sunflower and spring rape
Oilseed planting has started in the south of European Russia. According to the country’s Ag Ministry, farmers in the Chechen Republic and Bryansk region had sown 1.6 Th ha of spring rape (0.1% of forecast) by April 2, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Sunflower planting is 0.2% complete in North Ossetia and Crimea (13.2 Th ha).
