Ukraine. Barley exports in Jan-Nov intensified 10 pct
Barley exports from Ukraine in January-November 2019 reached 3.89 mln t for the amount of USD 668.1 mln.
As reported by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU), this indicator is 8.3% higher from the volume exported in 2018. Although, it is 19.8% lower from the year 2017 export levels.
Key importers of barley in the reporting period are as followed:
Saudi Arabia — USD 192.9 mln (28.88%);
China — USD 152.5 mln (22.83%);
Spain — USD 57.9 mln (8.67%);
others — USD 264.7 mln (39.62%).
In the week of Dec. 14–20, staple grains shipment in Ukrainian seaports amounted to 1.48 mln t, 12% higher from the previous week's figure (1.32 mln t). Barley transshipment dropped 42% wk/wk to 25 thou. t vs. 43 thou. t.
