Soufflet intends to buy hoppers for grain transportation in Ukraine. The company is planning a project to increase the turnover of its grain elevators. 54 hoppers – a traditional train composition for full train shipments in Ukraine. Over the last year, full train shipments became a priority in the work of Ukrzaliznytsia, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Posco thinks on creating its own railcar fleet
Posco International, which owns 75% of the grain terminal of the group of companies Orexim in Mykolaiv port, considers a possibility of creating its own railcar fleet in Ukraine. The head of Posco International Kiev office, Choi Ha Yong, said: “Owing to the unique location and infrastructure of the terminal, we are not too dependent on train-handling capacity of the railway line in Mykolaiv port. Therefore, logistics will be carried out mainly by railway".
