Ukraine. July rape oil exports were five times below last year’s peak

Rape oil exports in July 2019/20 hit a second high for this month – 3 KMT, but they were more than five times below last year's peak. At the same time, production of this oil decreased just by 19%, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The market is now focused on exporting the raw material because a legislative regulation comes into force in January 2020 making only growers eligible to VAT refund on oilseed exports.

The EU continues to be the main importer with a market share of 97%. China also reduced imports considerably.
