Ukraine. Margarine production in January 2019 at a three-year low
Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 16.8 KMT of margarine in January 2019, i.e. 31.1% less than in the previous month and down 18% from January 2018. January’s output hit a three-year low, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The current situation in Ukraine’s margarines market certainly envisages no production slump – it even suggests that the 2019 margarine output will total 210-215 KMT (UkrAgroConsult’s estimate). As the margarines market is focused on export trade, production may increase to 220-225 KMT provided exporters more actively look for new foreign destinations for the Ukrainian product.
