Ukraine. World’s biggest port operator DP World entering the port of Pivdenny
The Arabic corporation DP World has acquired a 51% stake in the company TIS – Container Terminal. DP World is a global corporation headquartered in the UAE and one of the world’s major port operators. It has 150 companies in 50 countries, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The acquired asset – the deepest terminal in Ukraine – can receive and handle three vessels at a time. It has five STS-cranes in one line. The terminal handled 220,000 TEU of cargoes in 2019 (+75% from 2018), though its design capacity is almost 2.5 times higher.
